Well after a lot of planning and worrying (on my behalf), we had a great week in Hong Kong. Joseph travelled well on the plane trips- even sleeping the whole way home. At first I think Joseph found all the sights and noises a bit too much, but by the end of the week he would happily sleep in his stroller on the train, at the markets or in the busiest yum cha restaurants.

Joseph with our tailor Linda. Linda has two grandsons but they live in Japan, so she adopted Joseph as her Australian grandson. Joseph loved her and would have great conversations with 'Popo' (Grandma) Linda in Cantonese.

Joseph's cot at the hotel was all laid out with baby toiletries and nappies

Joseph slowing us down at the Jade Market. Everytime that we went out people would stop us to talk to the baby. Everyone always commented on his eyes and they all thought that he was very big for six months old.

Waiting to catch the Star Ferry back to Hong Kong island

Can't get enough of the big bed

A lot of Hong Kong's foot paths aren't stroller friendly, so poor Brendan had to carry the stroller around a lot of the time.

By the end of the week Joseph was a real Hong Kong baby- he could sleep soundly in the busiest Yum Cha restaurant

The bassinet on the plane home was even smaller than the one going over. Good thing he wasn't any bigger than he is or there's no way he would have fit in there. Definitely no room to roll over!
